Mark Trained with Jacques Lecoq in Paris ('90 - '92). He worked as an actor with companies such as Hoipolloi and Commotion and has toured extensively in the UK and abroad.  He has worked in rep from Manchester Library Theatre to Norwich Playhouse and has recently made a number of TV shorts and pilots including 'For Contracts and Handshakes' and 'Get Down Stay Down'.

In 1998 Mark joined the teaching staff at LAMDA where he developed an integrated physical theatre programme for all three of the school's professional acting courses.  He was also head of second year until his departure in 2010.  Mark has also taught at many other schools in the UK and at Carnegie Mellon University in the United States, he is currently directing at East 15 Acting School.

Alongside his teaching Mark has directed many workshop and public productions for a number of acting schools; most recently Breathing Corpses and Comedians both at LAMDA.  He also directs professional Theatre, recent new writing includes The Snowfall, by Simon Tierney (Etcetera) and Colliery Row by Mark and Liquid Theatre (ACW).  He was invited to direct 'The Play That Goes Wrong' by mischief Theatre in 2013.  After two runs at the Old Red Lion the play transferred to Trafalgar studios, where it was also given two runs.  After a successful Edinburgh Festival at the Pleasance the show is now on National tour.
